I received some frit from That Frit Girl (whose website I can't get to work just now) for Beads of Courage. BoC is a program some hospitals have for terminally ill children, where during the course of their treatment, they receive beads for milestones they reach. Really great, touching program. That Frit Girl offers samples of her frits that folks want to try, you make test beads with them, and then send them back to her. Glass folks get to try out her frits, she gets pictures of the frit on beads of all sorts, then the kids get some really pretty beads.
Just got some CiM Cranberry Pink in the mail, only 1/4 pound though. It's so very expensive and I'm scared to use it. But it will hopefully make a gorgeous hot pink, which I know a lot of women like (myself included). I see quite a few 'uh oh' beads though, as if it's worked too hot or too long, can burn out the color. I have read it's so much less finicky than Rubino, so after I give it a go, I hope to have pictures and my opinion on the glass.
I won't know how my beads from today turn out until I get back on Monday. Ah well, such is life!
