I'm still alive and kicking. I've been swamped with work, work, and more work. I did however manage to write my article for Soda Lime Times, reviewing Everybody Needs (Glass) Buttons! ebook by Julie Fountain. The article is in the current issue (Dec 2011), along with a slew of other great articles and tutorials. This month's theme is gift ideas, and there are tons to help us lampworkers out. There are a couple of projects I need to definitely print up for the folks on my Christmas list.
The Arts and Crafts show on November 5th went very well. Even without being able to have any jewelry, my beadable items were popular. Most popular, keychains and bookmarks. I need to make more of both.
For those folks who are looking for my creations to buy, you can find a selection at Art on Depo in downtown Bedford. You will also be able to find some at The Life Church in Bedford as well. I am donating all the pieces I did not sell to the church in order to raise money for roof repairs and a ceiling collapse caused by the recent rain storms. My son attends their preschool, Little Light Early Learning Center, and I really wish I could do more for them. You can show your support by stopping by to see my beadable items (plus some jewlery!), 100% of sales will go to the church and daycare for repairs.
