Silly me, I've missed everyone and I just KNOW they've missed me. Didn't realize you missed me? Well, now you do. Didn't realize I was gone? Pfft, where have you been? Kidding... Mostly.
I haven't really been gone, per se, just out of touch due to some health issues that are pretty much cleared up. It's kept me in bed mostly, out of my studio, and away from the market for awhile. But I'm back and rockin' the torch again! (Ok, so who can grab me some fresh propane on their way to my house? Pleeeease?).
See that picture to the right? (assuming you're not on a mobile device and then that screws this all up). Proof I'm back to melting glass. Yum! And yes, that's the very tip of my lovely new Bethlehem Bravo, which I have yet to show off to y'all. Shame on me! In the next couple days I will give feedback on the Bravo and compare it to my other experiences (Nortel, GTT, Carlisle - ahem, didn't realize I was so...well rounded *blush*).
And now, I absolutely have to show off the fruits of my labor. That is just about most of my glass, though I do still have about 20-25 pounds to clean and sort. The open cabinet is my silver glass stash, which apparently I'm addicted to. Mostly Double Helix and TAG. Mmm. Drool with me.
Anyways, that was what took a bulk of my time prepping my studio for students. Do you have any idea how tedious washing, sorting, and labeling almost 200 pounds of glass can be? I never want to see another speck of drywall dust or compound ever again in my life. And if that contractor comes around....Grrr, angry Jenne.
I need to get a picture of my new vent hood...because it truly is a thing of beauty. It's a shame only fellow flameworkers can appreciate it. The amazing guy who installed it thought I was crazy when I gushed adoringly at the massive beast of stainless steal wonderfulness. I still just stand and stare at it sometimes. Shhh!
