To start my amazing week off, I took a 2 day workshop from talented bead artist and studio owner, Libby Leuchtman. That's her pictured left as she demoed one of the projects we worked on during the first day. If you ever are faced with the opportunity to take a class with her, I fully recommend it. She is a fabulous teacher, and I know all of the other students thoroughly enjoyed the experience as well. Pictured below are a couple pictures of projects worked on in her class. Sorry for the slightly blurry cell phone pictures!
Wednesday night I had a workshop with Maria Richmond, where I learned how to solder copper and lampwork critters. Unfortunately I didn't snap any pictures, as I was furiously taking notes on the beautiful bird she was demonstrating. Hopefully I can share some pictures soon of my critters, as I have been playing with soldering since taking her workshop!
Wednesday started off with another full workshop day with Libby. Pictured left is a close up of her demoing her much admired Clio Pod. We all got to try our hand at making some, and I'll get a picture taken and put up of my humble attempt.
Below is a (blurry) picture of her more recent work. They are absolutely stunning coldworked discs, with the edges featuring her tiny little handmade murrini. Each disc has about 3 hours of work put into it, amazing!
